Make like Chioma and style yours with a simple tee and straight-leg jeans for easy high-low dressing.

“Feel the joy” was the tagline of British Vogue’s March issue, and there’s no better manifestation of this than spring’s preppy colour-blocking trend. Pause on head-to-toe colour drenching and instead lean into simple separates – think shirting, polo tops and skirts – rendered in rainbow brights.

Who says that leather should be confined to the cold months of the year? Make it work for the summer season with light fabrications moulded into sculptural jackets, pencil skirts, à la Saint Laurent, or even supple shirting, as seen on the Hermès runway.

From bra tops to naked dresses, fashion loves a lingerie-inspired look, but this season brings us a bedroom-coded trend that is, actually, universally wearable. Spotted on the runways at Ferragamo and Schiaparelli, the boudoir trouser looks its best when styled minimally: think pared-back tailoring and monochrome separates.

These days, it’s rare to come across a fashion show that doesn’t feature tailoring in one form or another, whether it’s traditional takes or more experimental reworkings. This season, the approach is decidedly relaxed (but don’t confuse this with “oversized”), as seen via Bottega Veneta’s suede, grey-blue co-ord or Victoria Beckham’s hip-slinging, puddle-hem trousers.

Forget “one and done” dresses and extroverted jackets, the statement skirt is where it’s at for summer 2026. A glance at the runways of Chanel and Bottega Veneta will reveal all manner of fantastical calf-skimmers styled with unassuming knitwear and simple shirting. Translate the look into your wardrobe with Sacai’s nylon midi-skirt, a fitted cardigan and look-at-me accessories.

Miu Miu can always be relied upon for a boundary-pushing trend, and for spring/summer 2026, it turned its attention on the “apron” dress. Rendered in sprightly florals, Naomi styles her tangerine-hued iteration with a suede utility jacket and layered knitwear, ensuring it stays out of 1950s housewife territory.
